The Bus Mobile App

As someone who frequently rides the buses in Hawaii, I felt the need for an app that makes it easier to know arrival times. I've designed an app with user-friendly features that anyone can use, focusing on convenience and accessibility.

Ideation

Site map

I focused on simple usage without the need for complex launches. Users can log in once to save their bus information and continue using it without hassle. Emphasizing convenience for quick access at any time over repetitive and time-consuming processes was my priority. Additionally, I aimed to provide users with the most necessary services they might need.

Style Tiles

I made an effort to incorporate the colors of "TheBus," Hawaii's bus service, into the design. Using similar shades, I aimed to enhance consistency and maintain visual harmony.

Final Result

While incorporating the colors of "TheBus," Hawaii's bus service, to maintain its ambiance, I introduced accent colors that complemented without detracting from the original color scheme. This ensured a visually pleasing design. The app illustrates the movement of buses approaching specific stops through dynamic visuals, allowing users to effortlessly identify their location and nearby stops. Additionally, it automatically detects and displays information on buses frequently used by the user, facilitating ease of access to relevant details.
